Is it just us or is Rock’n’Roll back with a capital ROCK?! The 50’s is one of our favourite era’s here at SVWF but we can’t help thinking that there has to be more to this theme than a tea length dress and hair roll?
Rock’n’Roll is the ultimate party theme – loud fun music, lots of colour, lots of mess and lots of drunken-ness – sounds great!
What to Wear?
Rock’n’Roll aren’t just about 50’s style prom dresses. It’s about something that’s fun, sexy and party-esque. Forget traditional and think uber-fun. A cute 1960’s style 2-piece or wedding suit, such as this 1960’s Escada tweed suit or 1960’s satin corset top and pencil skirt both at www.bellableu.ie.If you love the idea of wearing something more bridal whilst adding a roc’.n’roll edge, why not try adding a fun pair of pretty pastel converse, a subtle flash of a coloured petticoat or our favourite a dress that reveals a cool tattoo – it’s part of you – show it off!
For the Boys?
Stuff the rules and get the boys to go fun with caps and hats, colour pop trousers and teddy boy hair styles…
How to Party?
Everyone loves The Beatles – young and old – dance the night away to a retro tribute band.
Do your guests really want Salmon or Beef? How about a build your own gourmet burger bar or American style food truck?
Get your song on – Karaoke hire is inexpensive and such fun! specially after a couple of shots.
Have you been to a Rock’n’Roll wedding – we’d love to hear your stories!
